Hot Spiced Cider
When you visit the mansion on a cold December day, there’s nothing like a hot cup of spiced cider to take off the chill.
In a pot, place:
1 | gallon of cider | |
1/4 | cup brown sugar | |
3 | orange wedges | |
6 | whole allspice | |
4 | whole cloves | |
3 | cinnamon sticks | |
dash of nutmeg | ||
dash of salt |
Simmer until hot. Do not boil! Strain before serving.
Tip: Put spices in cheesecloth bag to eliminate straining.
Cranberry Orange Cookies
Fresh-baked cookies are always a highlight of the Holiday Open House at the Cameron-Masland Mansion. The Cranberry Orange Cookies are always a crowd pleaser.
