The park is open every day of the year, sunrise to sunset. Day use areas close at dusk.
The park office, the mansion, and the education center are open specific hours. Contact the park office (info above) for facility seasons and hours.

Advance registration for upcoming events can be done online.
If you need an accommodation to participate in park activities due to a disability, please contact us. With one week notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
In the case of poor road conditions, programs may be canceled, or locations may change. Check our Facebook page for updates prior to arrival.
Upcoming Park Events
The Kings Gap Environmental Education Center plans programming year-round for all ages! Indoor and outdoor activities encourage exploration, learning, and fellowship. Easter Sunrise Service
Every Easter Sunday, a sunrise service is held on the Mansion lawn. This tradition has been observed for decades.

Native Plant Sale
Sponsored by the Friends of Kings Gap, this springtime plant sale includes native plants, and a few “naturalized” favorites.

Kings Gap Summer Camps
Looking for a great summer experience for children? Check out our offering of camps designed to guide children through the greater enjoyment, awareness, and knowledge of the natural world.

Yoga on the Terrace
Most Sunday afternoons late spring through early fall, Friends of Kings Gap gather to do yoga with a view.

Music on the Mountain
Join us on the lawn in front of the Cameron-Masland mansion on the first Sunday of each summer month for free music and fun!

Celtic Highlands Celebration
Beyond the music is a world of Celtic culture to explore!
Food, demonstrations, history, and Highland Games fill this late summer weekend. The festival finishes strong with a concert on the mansion lawn.

Garden Harvest Day
Join us for our annual fall festival focused on nature and art – Garden Harvest Day!

Garden Harvest Dinner and Silent Auction
A special meal in the Cameron-Masland mansion! Beautiful cocktails on the terrace start the evening, followed by a full-course meal including locally sourced meats, produce, wines, and beers. A silent auction complements the dining portion of this fundraiser.

Ghoulish Gallop
Participating families get GUNKED! This 1-Mile FUNraiser and Walk/Run is a great way to do GOOd.

Evening of Jazz
Join the Friends of Kings Gap in the Cameron-Masland Mansion for outstanding entertainment and refreshment. Tickets sell quickly.

Holiday Coffee House
A free evening to enjoy the Cameron-Masland mansion while it’s decorated for the holidays.

Holiday Open House
